Graciela Nuñez, Violin

Graciela Núñez, a distinguished Panamanian violinist, began her musical studies under the guidance of her father, Gonzalo Núñez, and with maestros such as Adriano Vásquez and José Cedeño. At age 13, she joined the National Symphony Orchestra of Panama, where she is currently principal second violinist. She earned her Bachelor of Music from the University of Kansas and her Master’s degree from Northern Illinois University thanks to a Fulbright-LASPAU scholarship. She has served as concertmaster of the NIU Philharmonic and collaborated with the National Concert Association of Panama, teaching and mentoring young musicians. She has been a member of groups such as Cronus and Sforzato, and has participated in classical music and jazz festivals in various countries.

A member of the American String Teachers Association since 2005, she researches musician motivation, technique, and well-being. Active in musical fusion projects, she also teaches at the University of Panama and the Danilo Pérez Foundation. Passionate about nature, Graciela (“Chelín”) values ​​music as her universal home.
