Rene Rivera

His musical beginnings began in the estudiantina of the Pedro J. Ameglio School in San Antonio San Miguelito (primary) then in the José Dolores Moscote Institute where he introduced the band to play the trumpet (1992); his interest in music led him to enter the Conservatory of Music in 1995 and at the same time in 1996 to the Faculty of Fine Arts of the National University in the music department, finishing the Bachelor of Music in 2000. He continued his studies in the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico in 2001 obtaining the title in Bachelor in Trumpet, during his studies in Puerto Rico belonged to the N’klabe Orchestra, with which he had the opportunity to make a tour to the main cities of the center and the coast this one of the USA and to different cities of Canada, Mexico and Colombia.

In 2009 already restored in Panama founded the group Son D la Calle with which he has kept working in the different musical venues and with which he has recorded two singles of his authorship “El Mujeriego” and “Manías” theme versioned in salsa but interpreted originally by Thalia in pop ballad.

He has participated in seminars of formation and direction of bands in Colombia, invited by Yamaha of Latin America, as well as in trumpet festivals in Costa Rica, training in musical themes in Mexico and musical festivals in Cuba.

As a teacher, I have collaborated with the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs of the University of Panama in the Department of Culture. Likewise, through the Ministry of Education, she has directed the bands of the National Institute 2007-2009 and the José Dolores Moscote Institute 2012 He currently works for the Santa Ana Community Board, where he is the founder of the Santa Ana Kid’s Musical Initiation Program 2010-2017, and he also serves as professor of the trumpet chair and metal workshop of the Gonzalo Brenes Orchestra and the Narciso Garay Orchestra of the Children and Youth Philharmonic Network of Panama of the Symphony Concertante Foundation of Panama.
